Full Description

{1} Geophysical survey was undertaken in 2006 over 100ha of land north of Wellingborough. No crop marks have previously been observed in the area to the east of Home Farm, but the gradiometer data has revealed a great deal of activity. A large number of positive linear anomalies indicating the presence of cut features such as ditches and pits. The complex arrangment of the anomalies may represent multiphase activity. The high magnitude of some may suggest that they are related to industrial activity and negative linear anomalies may suggest the presence of former banks or earthworks.

{2} Magnetic susceptibility survey in 2007 identified a large area of magnetic enhancement in this area correlating well with the areas identified previously.
