Full Description

{1} During the excavation of the playing field site for the new Northampton Girls High School in June 1987 by A. Williams, a series of intercutting boundary or drainage ditches were found. They measured from 0.7-0.8m wide and 0.2-0.3m deep and were aligned NW-SE. Twenty sherds of Iron Age pottery were also found.

{3} Iron Age ditches observed during a watching brief by M.Shaw and A.Williams.
