{1} Analysis, plan & photographs
Two storey, two bay cottage with stone walls to the front and back. The south end wall is of timber with brick infill. The north wall has no appreant depth and the internal face of the room is in line with the straight joint to number 32.
An off-centre stack has one hearth with a firebeam. The beam is curved with a narrow chamfer and run-out stops. Spine beams in both rooms and in the passage are chamfered with attenuated ogee stops. The roof structure forms part of a group including 36 and part of 32 which all show the same formation. The principal rafters have collars and the purlins are tenoned with a fished scarf joint through the principal.
The detailing of this building suggests a late 17th century date.
