Full Description

{1} Building aligned east - west forming the northern part of the yard, originally built as an open-fronted cow hovel. The buildings, according to cartographic sources date to the early 19th century. The building is open-fronted and five bays wide, the rear wall is largely stone built with a probably later brick-built extension to the east. The rear wall also forms the boundary with a kitchen garden to the north. The roof is clad in corrugated tinned sheets and carried on 6 plain trusses. The floor is earth. The western bay has been separated by a modern breeze block wall as well as a modern breeze block-built extension on the western end of the principal elevation.
