Full Description
{1} Earthworks of a circular feature on high ground immediately overlooking Fotheringhay Castle. Feature identified by Archaeology Warwickshire and possible attribution as henge was agreed as most likely by head of English Heritage's aerial survey team.
{2} The earthwork stands to a height of 150mm. Stamper and Upex consider that the most likely interpretation of the earthworks is a medieval ringwork, most probably a 12th-century siege castle against the main Fotheringhay Castle.
