Full Description
{1} Trial trench excavation undertaken in advance of the Empingham-Hannington Pipeline identified an undated gully and large pit. The features were located either side of the Gartree Roman road and may, therefore, have been Roman. The pit may have been a quarry pit excavated during road construction.
