Full Description

{1} Geophysical survey undertaken as part of the HS2 project at Trafford Bridge identified a group of retilinear enclosures and ring ditches. Within the largest enclosure a number of smaller positive magnetic anomalies may relate to pits, hearths, ovens or small kilns, internal divisions and a possible round house. An L-shaped ditch extends out from the north-western corner of this enclosure. Smaller enclosures lay to the south-east.
