Full Description

{1} The Pheasantry is divided into two blocks, separated by a wide open lawn and vista forming the western approach to the Lodge. The wood appears to have been extended to the south-west beyond its original (medieval?) boundary, which appears as a slight bank and ditch 40m into the woodland. This is the parish boundary between Potterspury and Deanshanger. The eastern bank and ditch boundary is the original medieval coppice boundary. Various incoherent earthworks noted. Within the northern block are a number of small, sinuous drainage ditches which do not seem to be modern.
