Full Description
{1} Six trenches were excavated on land at Windermere Drive. Most of the site had been disturbed by development in the 1990s, but two small ditches on differing alignments were identified. A single, small sherd of possible Iron Age pottery was recovered from the fill of one. The ditches may be associated with the wider Iron Age settlement of the area, although the scarsity of features and finds suggest that the ditches were of an agricultural rather than domestic origin.
