Full Description

{1} Level II building recording was undertaken prior to conversion into a dwelling (along with further buildings to the east). The stone-built, single storey barn was buit between 1886 and 1900 replacing an earlier building. The roof is of corrugated iron. A blocked former doorway is located on the south-west facing elevation which faces across the gateway towards the farmhouse.A stone close to this
doorway bears the date 1658 although map evidence suggests that this is not likely to be the construction date of the barn and may have been re-used from elsewhere.
