Abstract/Summary

A Level 2 Historic Building Survey at Home Farm House, Back lane, East Farndon, Northamptonshire was undertaken by the University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) on the 14th of May 2019. The survey studied the former barns and outbuildings belonging to Home Farm, which have listed building consent for conversion and extension to create a new dwelling. Home Farm House is a Grade II listed mid-18th century building with 19th century alterations. The barns and outbuildings consist of a mid to late 19th century brick-built two storey structure, a single storey stone-built structure of early 20th century date and a late 20th century timber and metal-built barn. A brick-built row of open-fronted former pens or stables runs alongside the barns. The redundant buildings represent an interesting example of the development and changes to agricultural buildings from the 19th century through to the present day. The report and archive will be deposited under Event Number ENN109492
