Full Description
{2} Archaeological evaluation comprising geophysical survey followed by trial trench excavation identified features in Trenches 71, 72, 74 and 79 which correlate with a series of geophysical
anomalies. They appear to represent the remains of a field system. Given the apparently contemporary relationship of all these features the have been group together and, on the basis of the pottery, dated to the Roman period. However, it is noted that all the pottery recovered comprised of small fragments and could be intrusive.
