Full Description

{1} A level 2 building recording survey was undertaken prior to conversion to a dwelling. The five-bay barn is present on a map of 1813, but was probably constructed in the second half of the 18th century. It was extensively restored in the late 20th century, when it was repointed, reroofed and perhaps new opening introduced. Constructed of limestone with a Collyweston slate and clay ridge tile roof. The full height double doors present on the east and west elevations are offset from each other. A further full-height door is present on the south gable. All elevations have rectangular ventilation slits. An inscription on a quoin on the right side of the eastern double door is in modern style lettering. It reads WIII or IIIM (perhaps a date?).
