Summary
Trial trench excavation in 2019 and subsequent excavation recorded remains in this area dating from the 11th century. The earliest features were two circular enclosures replaced by plot boundaries.

Full Description
{1} Two trial trenches excavated to the rear of Rectory View identified a number of features including two possible boundary ditches. Also identified were five evenly spaced linear ditches which may have connected at a 90-degree angle, perhaps representing corner of a structure or small enclosure. All features were undated.
