Full Description

{1} Building survey undertaken prior to conversion. A traditional threshing barn built mostly in limestone rubble. Aligned approximately northwest to south-east on the north-east side of the yard, it is gabled at either end and has a modern asbestos sheet roof covering. It is detailed with ashlar quoins of varying size at the corners and at the sides of the doors. A small structure, recently in use as a farm chemicals store, abuts the barn on its south-east side. Adjoining the northwestern side is what was most likely a shelter shed facing into the yard to the east or perhaps as a cow-house or loose boxes. Aligned approximately south south-west to north north-east, its earliest parts are constructed mostly in limestone rubble with some detailing in brick. Although the original structure was probably undivided and open on the side nearest the yard, the interior is now subdivided by modern partition walls extending the width of the building, and the front of the building is enclosed. The building has an asbestos roof.
