Monument record 7109/4 - WAAF Communal and Quarters Site No 2, Husband's Bosworth Airfield

Summary
The site of the communal and living quarters for the Women's Auxiliary Air Force personnel working at Husbands Bosworth airfield. After the war the buildings were placed under the control of the National Assistance Board and were used as a camp for displaced Polish families for ten years.

Full Description
{1} An Air Ministry plan within the building recording report for the adjacent WAAF site 1, shows this site immediately to the south of Sulby Lodge Farm. A number of accommodation blocks and air raid shelters are depicted.
{2} Modern aerial photography shows that this site is now grassland and no remains are now visible.
