Full Description

{1} Archaeological observation of the excavation of new house footings on Richmond Road. The plot at the far northeast of the site contained stone surfaces complete with pottery and a large assemblage of samian ware dating to 1st and 2nd centuries. There was also a large assemblage of animal bone with evidence of butchery, as well as a small knife found wedged inside a bovine humerus.
