Full Description

{1} Geophysical survey of land to the west of Preston Lodge Farm identified an area largely comprising conjoined rectilinear enclosures/field systems as well as further ditches and pits. Given the evidence of possible Romano-British settlement from fieldwalking survey in the vicinity, it is possible that the anomalies relate to a settlement from this period.
