Building record 939/0/39 - 46-48 High Street (formerly The Bull Inn)

Originally constructed in the 18th or early 19th century from ironstone, the building was substantially rebuilt in brick in the late 19th century and converted into a public house. It continued in use as a public house until c2021.

{1} A level 2 historic building survey was undertaken prior to the conversion of the former public house into residential use. The building appears to have originated in the 18th or early 19th centuries and was constructed in ironstone. In the late 19th century it was substantially rebuilt in brick with faux timber framing and converted into a public house. In the mid-late 20th century western structures associated with the earliest phase were demolished and western and southern lean-tos were constructed. In the early 21st century, the western lean-to was demolished.
