Full Description

{1} In 2023, geophysical survey identified anomalies of probable archaeological origin. To the south-west of this complex lays an L-shaped anomaly. This may be interpreted as two sides of an enclosure and its similar orientiation to the previous enclosure may suggest an association. The morphology of the anomalies suggests an Iron Age date.

{2} Trial trench excavation confirmed the presence of middle Iron Age ditched features, although their precise function could not be ascertained. It is likely that they had an agricultural function.
