Full Description
{1} The evaluation uncovered a ditched enclosure with a former hedge line on the outside. The enclosure is rectangular and is located at the NE edge of site with a large, shallow pit at its entrance. The pottery recovered is of an Iron Age date. The suboval anomaly found in the geophysical survey was not picked up in the trial trench.
{2} Geophysical survey undertaken in 2019 found two anomalies of archaeological interest; a suboval enclosure and a potential rectilinear enclosure. The rectilinear enclosure appears to extend beyond the limits of the surveyed area; a gap in the linear response could indicate an entrance.
