Full Description

{1} Excavation revealed a partially ploughed out field system with associated boundaries that was aligned predominantly northeast to southwest with occasional offshoots to the southeast. Evidence suggested that the boundaries were repeatedly recut causing a migration of its position and although dating was rarely found, the small quantity of artefactual material recovered combined with the stratigraphic sequence demonstrated that the features were of Iron Age through Romano-British date.
