Summary

Second World War bomb store site for Deenethorpe Airfield. Bomb store sites were usually located at some distance from the airfield and all types of ordnance, including practice and live, was stored there. Possible protective earth banks are visible on lidar imagery.

{1} Bomb Store Site marked to the east of the airfield.

{2} Earthwork mounds visible on lidar imagery are likely to be the remains of earth banks constructed to provide some protection in case of accidental detonation of ordnance.
