Monument record 1297/1/8 - WWII Communal Site, Harrington Airfield

A complex of domestic and communal buildings lying to the north-west of Harrington Airfield providing dispersed living quarters for those serving at the airfield during the Second World War. Aerial photography suggests that the concrete hardstanding survives as well as (potentially) a couple of buildings.

{1-4} Former WWII dispersed communal site for Harrington Airfield. In 1994, the site had two entrances from the road and buildings are located on either side of both tracks into the site, with further tracks and buildings also visible. Modern aerial photography indicates that the tracks and concrete hardstanding for the buildings survives. There are possibly three buildings on the site- these may date from the Second World War.
