{1} Still operational? - no further details available.

{4} Short piece in the Daventry Express notes that Defence Estates at Waterbeach report that the “radio relay station at Whitmill Hill, formerly used by the United States Air Force, is redundant. Disposal of the site is being processed. The red marker lights, a night-time landmark for many years, are no longer used. The mast is not considered to be a hazard”
A Armishaw recalls seeing security fencing in the 1980s with signage “stating that it was unlawful to enter the area without permission of the installation commander” etc.
Mast still believed to be present. Nature and extent of any accompanying buildings, if any, is not known.
