Full Description

{1} Source: Gibson M.L (1982) The number of aircraft needing repair increased rapidly during 1940 and the accomodation at the main centre at Sywell was found to be inadequate. This together with the policy of dispersal and the benefit of taking work to the people instead of the reverse with consequent saving in travelling, led to premises being requisitioned including Abbott's Garage, Earls Barton - engine nacelles, component servicing and instruments.
