Summary
Former Baptist Chapel, opened in 1860 by Hull. The frontage is constructed in white brick and Bath stone. The former chapel was gutted by fire in 2018 but has since been restored.

Full Description
{1} Report on the opening of the new Baptist Chapel on Abington Street in April 1860. 'It is a substantial structure of white brick and Bath stone, in a plain Italian style…The ground floor is occupied by the chapel, vestries, vestibule, and baptistry. The chapel, with the gallery, will accommodate about 500 persons with sittings. There are boys' and girls' school-rooms, class-rooms, &c, beneath. The buildings are warmed by means of hot water apparatus, supplied by Messrs. Allchin and Son. The chapel has been erected from designs and under the superintendence of Mr W Hull, architect, at the cost of about £1,600'.
{2} Fire broke out on 17 June 2018 causing the roof to collapse. The building sustained significant water damage as well, but is being restored.
