Full Description
{1} MOLA undertook geophysical survey in 2025 at the Nene Floodplain in Fotheringhay. The survey found evidence of sparse undated ditches that could represent more than one phase of activity on the site. The most notable ditch occurs in the south-east of the survey area. It forms a continuation of a large double ditched feature which was identified by MOLA’s previous survey of the fields to the south and has been speculatively proposed as a Neolithic cursus (Emery and Walford 2024). The other ditches probably represent a variety of drainage channels, field boundaries and other features of more recent date.
