Summary

Fieldwalking survey in 1981 found a large Mesolithic/Neolithic flint scatter. One sherd of Roman pottery and several sherds of Saxon pottery were also recovered.

{1} Fieldwalking survey in 1981 found a large Mesoithic/Neolithic flint scatter comprising rough axe end, hammerstone, scrapers, blade cores, utilised / serated / waste flakes, burnt flint and one sherd of Roman greyware and several sherds of Saxon pottery, predominately grey/black in colour, some with, shell, mica and vegetable inclusions.
