Full Description
{1} The earliest evidence for a public house on the site of the current Nags head dates to at least the early 19th centuiry. This building, shown on period photographs and both the 1886 and 1900 OS maps was located on the High Stret frontage. It had stabling to the rear, but it is unknown what the cellarage arangements were. The original building on the High Street frontage and the stabling to the rear were both demolished before the current Nags Head was constructed in 1937.
