Full Description

{2} The chapel is long since desecrated and the site is unknown. It occurs as late as 1523 when a bequest to various churches and Charlton chapel is made by Sir Walter Mauntell.

{3} Possibly the chapel building at SP52883615. A medieval building surviving in part, now converted into cottages. Almost certainly a chapel, particularly as is aligned east-west. Seen on aerial photos NCCAP:5236/30-66.

{4} Field name survey (1932) CRO Northampton holds no information relative to an early chapel in Charlton.
