Type and Period (1)
Full Description
{1} A dense scatter of worked flints of late Neolithic and Bronze Age type covers an area of about 5ha. Part of a polished flint axe and a flint arrowhead have also been found; info: D J Barrett.
{2} Fieldwalking recovered 68 flints - 55 flakes, 10 blades, 2 cores and a possible scraper. A general trend of artefacts stretches diagonally north-west to south-east across the centre of the field but the density of flint is low. The assemblage contains a greater number of blades and fewer cores than expected.
