Full Description

{1} A low mound in a cultivated field, 30ft in diameter by 2-2.5ft high. No pottery has been found on the site. Possibly a barrow?

{2} The mound is only 0.25 m high and 12 m in diameter, much spread, and crossed by a modern hedge. It may be the site of a windmill.

{3} Within old Plumpton parish: possible site of a windmill.

{4} SP 58704851 A low spread mound crossed by a blackthorn hedge and adjacent to a path. It is mainly under plough and attains a maximum height of 0.2m. No surface finds were made. Situated 170.0m asl in a very exposed position, the topographical situation, proximity to roads, and present appearance suggest it to mark the site of an early mill, although local enquiry could not confirm the existence of such. CRO Northampton early maps inspected; no indicative names recorded
