Monument record 663/1/2 - Holy Well of St Loys

The well is covered by a large buried slab in the roadside verge.

{1} St Loys or St Lewis's well at Weedon Lois (SP6046) had lain neglected for a long time so that it was almost covered over with filth. It was recently cleansed and opened, and the ancient cistern and pavement discovered.
