Full Description
{1} The only features were located at the southern end of Trench II at the bottom of the slope. This trench yielded numerous fragments of Roman pottery and roofing tiles. The material originated from two large features cut into the natural clay.
A shallow gully 0.30m deep ran obliquely across the trench. Its north-east edge only survived within the excavation area.
A larger feature cut into the gully to a depth of 0.50m. It contained Roman pottery, some of which may derive from the disturbed fill of the gully. Part of its north-east edge only was visible within the trench.
