Full Description

{1} Building foundations noted by Morton were probably immediately south-west of Whilton Lodge and inside the town.

{2} "….in that part of Whilton Field which adjoins Watling St are old foundations and the stones of ruined walls….have been ploughed or digged up and amongst ruins some pieces of Roman money….".
