Monument record 1160/0/87 - Possible Medieval road surfaces, Mill Lane

Archaeological observation of a sewer trench excavated in 1975 identified a sequence of possible medieval road surfaces. The road surfaces appear to have been aligned east to west and may represent the medieval route of Mill Lane.

{1}Horsehoe St Sewer trench. South of island on St Peter's Way. Metalled road surfaces possibly Medieval seen in N/S trench. Roads appear to be aligned E/W.,
