Full Description

{1}Foundation trenches of 3 walls apparently associated with demolished Nonconformist Chapel; 2 walls formed north & south edges of excavation trench; all foundations held substantial stone foundations & 1 held brick relieving arch & surviving brick superstructure;

{2}Foundation trenches of 3 walls apparently associated with recently demolished Nonconformist Chapel;

{3}Location of chapel building & burial ground situated at west end of Commercial Street & on north side adjacent to James Street; Foundry Street to its rear;

{5}Foundation trenches of 3 walls apparently associated with demolished Nonconformist Chapel; 2 walls formed north & south edges of excavation trench; all foundations held substantial stone foundations & 1 held brick relieving arch & surviving brick superstructure;

{6}"….opposite to this building is Commercial Street (in which is the Independent Chapel)…."

{7} List of numbers of burials per annum as recorded in All Saints Mortality Bills; from time of building in 1829 to 1953; total of 96 burials recorded;

{8}Provision made for use of spare land adjacent to chapel building as burial place; layout was to have been similar to that of the Dissenters' New Burial Ground in Manchester;

{9}In 1840 both children of Reverend & Mrs Prust died & were buried in graveyard; were then removed to another cemetery;
