Full Description
{1} Trial trenching by D. Windell in 1983. Raunds Furnells North. C6th-7th AD postholes and gullies.
{2} Fieldwork revealed several late Saxon and Medieval pits which were probably small quarries. Among other features were a long gully and several postholes of the later 6th-7th centuries suggest that contemporary occupation extended west beyond the limits of the Furnell site.
