Full Description

{1} Settlement remains (SP 684 541). An area c50m wide of brick and rubble with Post Medieval pottery marks the site of a building west of the north-south road shown on a map of 1729. Further buildings north of the extant farm are marked by low earthworks. The remains emphasise the unusual Medieval settlement pattern in the parish which is divided between four discrete units: Pattishall [SP 65 SE 28], Astcote [SP 65 SE 6,29], Eastcote [SP 65 SE 30] and Dalscote, of which the first are mentioned in Domesday.
