Portable Antiquities Scheme find provenance information:
Date found: 30 April 2004 (Ante)
Methods of discovery: Metal detector
{1} An Iron Age gold coin of the Dobunni is recorded; A sceatta in Northampton Museum was perhaps found in Brackley before 1902.
A late Saxon dagger said to be from Brackley is in the Ashmolean Museum.
{2} A medieval (C14-15th) iron 'kidney dagger' was found during foundation trenching for a cottage in 1940.
{3} A Bronze Age axe was discovered during metal detecting in 1981 - location unknown
{4} An irregular copper alloy object, which appears to have been heat damaged. It is difficult to be sure of what the object may have been but it is possible that it was a shield shaped mount.
{5}An Iron Age gold coin of the Dobunni is in the Fitzwilliam Museum.
