Full Description

{1} Burial found in pipe trench against the cottage wall buried at a depth of c0.25m. A second burial with its head to the east and with two sherds of medieval pottery was later identified.

{2}Watching brief undertaken in 1990 at Grove Cottage identified a stone-lined pit up to ten courses deep. Finds from the fill were mostly of post-medieval and later dates. Interpreted as a possible post-medieval cess pit; located 1.6m from the corner of the cottage;
