Full Description

{1} At SP958715 a small quantity of Iron Age pottery and some worked flints were found.

{2} Irthlingborough Site 5. A dark occupation area was noted, with some stone, and early Iron Age, Belgic and Romano-British pottery sherds.

{7} The site produced Iron Age, Roman and Saxon surface scatters.
A large concentration of surface material at Crow Hill (1) may suggest Roman settlement, though its relationship with the preceding hillfort is uncertain. While the site produced Iron Age, Roman and Saxon surface scatters pre 1972 the earthworks were subsequently dismissed as merely the "high terminations of medieval ridge and furrow".

{8} Abundant sherds representing the Iron Age and Romano-British periods.

{9} Large amounts of early and late Iron Age and Roman pottery have been found.
