Full Description

{1} A stone area and Romano-British pot sherds were seen during fieldwalking in 1978 and reported to Northampton Museum in the autumn of the same year. 7 sherds were collected and others were seen. Grid ref TL02497798.

{2} TL02497798. Seven Roman sherds found summer 1978 and given to Northamptons Museum. Other sherds and a stone scatter were seen in the area. In October 1978 an Ae3 coin of Constantine II (317-37AD) was found at TL02427791: obv Constantinvs Ivn Nob C, rev Caesarvm Nortorum, Vot X inside a laurel wreath.

{3} Roman settlement - Roman pottery, a stone scatter and a 4th century coin were discovered in 1978. Grid ref. TL024779.
