Summary

Cropmarks of two long, parallel ditches 75m apart interpreted as a possible cursus. Evaluation undertaken at the south-eastern end did not find any evidence of a ditch.

Full Description

{2} Cropmarks of two long, parallel ditches 75m apart, orientated north-west to south-east. Other cropmarks in the immediate area. Cropmark plan, Fig 107.

{4} Cropmark recorded in 1981, possible cursus.

{5} Evaluation established that the prehistoric Cursus-type monument, visible in aerial photographs in the fields to the west, did not continue on its predicted course through the proposed development area.
