Earthwork remains of a hollow way survive on the south-west side of Mears Ashby. In 1577, the route was known as the Saltway.

Full Description
{1} Earthwork of a deep hollow way survives running up the steep vally side. Observed during a site visit by Glenn Foard 01/06/1988. SP83856651 to 83896656(+);It was called the Saltway in 1577 {2}.
