Full Description

{1} Cropmarks of at least three conjoined enclosures and/or ring ditches as well as short lengths of boundary ditches have been identified on aerial photographs.

{2} Geophysical survey undertaken in 2023-4 indicated that the settlement extends over a wider area (c270m by 225m) than that observed as cropmarks. The settlement comprise numerous ring ditches measuring between 10m and 20m in diameter, with some showing clear entrances and a central pit response. At the eastern boundary of the site is part of a double- or triple-ditched rectangular enclosure. A ring ditch and pits within it may be contemporary. Several other rectangular/sub-rectangular enclosures are also identifiable. It is likely that there is more than one phase of occupation.
