{1} Fieldwalking uncovered areas of dark soilmarks and Romano-British pot sherds.

{2} SP 97278550 Black patches & RB pottery (Jackson 1964)

{4} Under corn stubble. Some RB pottery found but the 'black patches' were not identified.
