Full Description

{1} SP 9217 8558: Flint blade and burnt stone found by R Hollowell in February 1965.

{2} Site under crop.

In a field adjacent to this site burnt patches can be seen in the plough. These dark areas would appear to be the result of fires used to clear woodland prior to cultivation. Hollowell retains the flint which is about 2 1/2 inches in length probably Neolithic or Early Bronze Age.
