Full Description
{1} Watching brief undertaken 21/06/90 by G.Cadman. A cobbled surface, associated with post-medieval pottery, extended back from the street frontage northwards for 16-22m. This overlay a layer from which a single sherd of Iron Age pottery was recovered. The site was extensively disturbed by construction works but at least two small pits and possible wall remains were observed on the east side of the site in addition to the surface. These features were undated but presumed medieval/post-medieval.
